About the Journal

The SC Transactions of Medicine is a peer-reviewed open-access rapid-communication journal that publishes short original papers on all aspects of research and technology of internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Its broad and interdisciplinary scope covers the latest developments in all internal medicine and its subspecialties-related fields including major biological, environmental, social, and political determinants of health.

The SC Transactions of Medicine accepts papers up to three pages (two columns format) in length and has an Open Access publishing policy (please see the Author Guidelines for more information).

Scope:

  • Analytic reviews such as meta-analyses & decision analyses, use a formal structure to summarize an important field.
  • Careful physiological or pharmacological studies that explain the normal function or the body's response to disease.
  • Phase I, phase II, & phase III studies performed under the auspices of groups such as general clinical research centers & cooperative oncology groups.
  • Reports of patients with common presentations or diseases, especially studies that delineate the natural history & therapy of important conditions.
  • Reviews oriented to the practicing internist & diagnostic puzzles, complete with images, from a variety of specialties.
